Provision for pupils with disabilities and additional education needs

At East Morton CE Primary School we look at the educational needs of a pupil with disabilities and, in liaison with all other professionals involved with the pupil, plan a comprehensive learning package, which will allow for measurable learning opportunities to be put in place. This means that the pupil and all adults involved in supporting that pupil will meet to plan the educational provision best suited to the needs of the individual pupil. At all times we will work closely with parents to ensure that their child receives the very best educational experience that East Morton CE Primary School can offer.

Please visit our Policies and Documents page for our SEND Information Report.

Children with a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) have, upon mutual agreement following consultation with the school regarding its ability to meet a child’s specific needs, a statutory entitlement to a place at the school named in the Statement or EHCP. This is not part of the oversubscription criteria.

Please visit our Policies and Documents page for our Admissions Policy.

At East Morton CE Primary School we have an Equal Opportunities Policy, therefore every pupil is provided with equal opportunity to access all aspects of our curriculum.

Please visit our Policies and Documents page for our Equality Policy.

East Morton CE Primary School is housed in one building and is contained on one site. The schools is all on two levels with wheelchair lift access and can be accessed through a number of entrances. There is Restricted Access to some areas; these need to be accessed externally. We recognise that there is always room for improvement, and we would welcome any further suggestions as to how we could improve our accessibility to all. If you have any suggestions to make in this area, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Emma Petts, Deputy Headteacher.

Please visit our Policies page for our current Accessibility Plan.

Please visit our Resources for Parents page for useful websites for children with special educational needs.
