Pupil Parliament

Pupil Parliament

Our ‘Pupil Parliament’ incorporates different groups of children who actively participate in shaping school life. The pupil parliament mirrors a democratic system, giving children a voice while fostering responsibility, leadership, and teamwork. This system is organised into various departments, each with specific responsibilities, offering a broad range of opportunities for children to engage and develop essential skills. Children in Years 2 – 6 are given the opportunity to nominate themselves for a position each September. The School Council meet with Miss Whittaker regularly to carry out a number of key roles each year, which includes setting themselves targets for the year, taking part in pupil voice interviews, organising fundraising activities and promoting our school community.
